IT Project Manager - 26042801
Our client is an established digital agency with 9+ years of success delivering high-performance websites for primarily US-based clients. They specialize in modern JavaScript websites and headless builds, operating with a startup mindset: lean, fast-moving, high standards, and zero corporate bureaucracy.
Their distributed team spans the UK, Europe, Africa, and Asia, with plans to expand operations into the US. Growth has been driven almost entirely through referrals and inbound demand—now they’re building the next stage of scale.
They’re now hiring a Technical Project Manager to become a critical client-facing leader and operational backbone of the business.
The Role
This is not a “Jira admin” role. It’s for someone sharp, proactive, technical enough to understand how websites are built, and confident enough to lead client communication.
You’ll manage multiple website projects from kickoff to launch, coordinating clients, developers, designers, and timelines across time zones. You’ll turn client requests into clean execution plans, keep projects moving, and solve issues before they become problems.
This is one of the company’s most important hires, with direct impact on growth and delivery quality.
What You’ll Do
Manage multiple web development projects simultaneously (mostly modern JavaScript / headless CMS websites)
Act as the main point of contact for US-based clients during business hours
Lead project delivery from kickoff through launch
Translate client requests into clear technical tickets and actionable briefs
Coordinate developers, designers, and stakeholders across global teams
Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.) to speed up specs, documentation, summaries, and workflows
Manage tasks, priorities, and delivery pipelines in Linear
Identify blockers early and proactively solve them
Own timelines, scope, expectations, and communication
Ensure a polished, professional client experience at every touchpoint
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience managing technical/web projects
Strong spoken and written English
Excellent client-facing communication skills
Comfortable working in US time zones (Central preferred, East/West Coast acceptable)
Experience working with developers and technical teams
Understanding of how websites are built (frontend/backend basics, environments, APIs, hosting, etc.)
Strong organization and ownership mindset
Calm under pressure and solution-oriented
Nice to Have
Experience with Next.js, React, JavaScript ecosystems
Experience with headless CMS platforms (Sanity, Contentful, etc.)
Experience with Linear, Jira, ClickUp, or similar PM tools
Ability to read basic code / PR summaries
Experience building AI automations or workflows
Who Will Thrive Here
You move fast without losing quality
You communicate like a professional, not like internal chat messages
You take feedback well and improve quickly
You enjoy ownership and autonomy
You care about execution more than politics
You’re highly reliable and naturally organized
