Position Summary
We're on the hunt for a Project Accounting & Automation Specialist! We are looking for a finance-savvy problem solver to optimize project accounting, streamline workflows, and drive automation in real estate development. If you excel in Northspyre (or similar) and QuickBooks Online, love automating processes, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Project Accounting Oversight: Manage all aspects of project accounting for real estate development, including budgeting, cost tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting using Northspyre and QuickBooks Online.
- Financial System Integration: Ensure seamless synchronization between Northspyre and QuickBooks Online to maintain accurate, real-time financial data across projects and investor entities.
- Automation & Process Efficiency: Maximize Northspyre’s automation capabilities to streamline:
- Invoice approvals and processing
- Contract management for general contractors, subcontractors, and change orders
- Project billing and payment workflows
- Billing & Entity Accounting: Oversee billing operations, ensuring invoices flow efficiently from Northspyre to QuickBooks Online, supporting automated bill pay and entity-level accounting.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement automated workflows to enhance accuracy, reduce manual tasks, and improve financial efficiency.
- Cross-Team Collaboration & Compliance: Partner with project managers, leadership, and external stakeholders to maintain financial accuracy, ensure timely approvals, and uphold regulatory and company standards.
- Technology Leadership: Utilize Northspyre and QuickBooks Online to implement best practices in project accounting and automation, driving efficiency and innovation.
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in project accounting, preferably within real estate development or a related industry (3+ years of experience).
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Northspyre (or similar), with expertise in automation and system integration.
- Deep understanding of project-based financial workflows, including budgeting, invoicing, and cost management.
- Ability to design and implement automation processes to enhance efficiency, minimize errors, and streamline financial operations.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
